Innovative Leadership Academy was founded by Toni Fisher in June 2024 in response to the need for more innovative, affirming, and community-rooted educational opportunities for students and families. Under her leadership, ILA is building a strong foundation for transformative learning through hands-on programming, leadership development, and a long-term vision for a future charter school. The leadership team is committed to advancing ILA’s mission with purpose, excellence, and deep connection to the communities it serves.

JaShika Bivens serves as Founding Deputy Director of Innovative Leadership Academy, supporting the organization’s growth through strategic planning, program development, and operational leadership. As a founding leader, she plays a key role in helping bring ILA’s vision to life through strong systems, community partnership, and mission-driven support for students and families.
